GENERAL APPLICATIONS
ALFACEL-P is the trade name for Micro Crystalline Cellulose Powder (MCCP) manufactured by the company. ALFACEL-P is made from purified partially depolymerised Alfa Cellulose relatively free from both organic and inorganic contaminants. It is insoluble in water; dilute acids, common organic solvents and oils. Partially soluble with swelling in dilute alkali. It is fine, white, and odour less, edible and metabolically inert powder. ALFACEL-P conforms the standards of USNF, EP, BP and IP
APPLICATIONS Alfacel is a product designed for Pharmaceutical solid dosage formulation. Its suitability for tableting operations is shown by the number and variety of functions it can perform.

Alfacel can be used in all methods of tableting. It is most effectively used in direct compression. When using Alfacel only a simple three step procedure of weighing, mixing and compressing required. Because of its high chemical purity and low moisture content it improves chemical and color stability of the tablets.
